The monument to the Grand Prince of Moscow and Vladimir cities Dmitry Donskoy (Dmitry of the Don) of the Rurik Dynasty (2014). On September 8, 1380, at the Kulikovo field, near the Don river, he defeated Mamai’s army. Dmitry Donskoy is venerated as a Saint in the Russian Orthodox Church.
