The first step to recovery is an admittance that there is an issue. Actually, the mere fact that someone is a Russophobe is not a problem itself. Some people are Russophobic just like some are racist, antisemitic, etc. The problem is when someone is a Russophobe in denial. It’s very important for a human being to be honest with him/herself and with others. That’s why I have no problem with open Russophobes. I don’t agree with them but it’s up to them to express the views they share. Unfortunately, heavy cases of this phobia can result into anti-Russian racism:
